Petition Make flu injections mandatory for Care Workers and Health Professionals

We have two carers visiting four times a day to help look after a bedbound 88 year old man who has dementia. The patient is very frail and has been visited by carers with cold/flu symptoms on a number of occasions. This is obviously very worrying for the family and is putting the patient at risk.

I have checked with the carers and agency and it seems they are not obliged to have a flu vaccine. It also seems that the carers are encouraged to work even when they have the symptoms due to staff shortages.
