The UK Civil service is notariously inefficient, inflexible and over manned. Parts of it could be out sourced to UK only based private companies. For example, much of the DWP work is clerical and could be done cheaper in the private sector. At a lower cost for th UK tax payer whilst giving a boost to private industry.
