Important:

This petition was submitted during the 2015-2017 parliament

Rejected petition We, the people, demand immediate publication of the Chilcot Inquiry.

It is a disgrace that the Chilcot report has STILL not been made public.

Delays are just cover ups in determining what information is/isn't allowed to be made public. This denies us our rights. All information must be made public.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The Iraq Inquiry (known as the Chilcot Inquiry) is an independent inquiry. Neither the Government or Parliament is responsible for setting the date on which its final report will be published.

You might be interested to know that both the Prime Minister and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Commons have asked Sir John Chilcot about the progress of the inquiry. You can see the exchanges of correspondence on the Inquiry’s website:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
