The UK government are looking to reduce subsidies for renewable energy to bring down energy bills.

2015-16 Renewables subsidies are estimated to be 4.5bn, the expected subsidy for the fossil fuel industry is expected to be 26bn.

The government say industry should survive without subsidies.
