Rejected petition Contractually maximum 45 hour working week for Primary School Teachers.
NUT shows that Primary teachers regularly work 60 hours per week and that as a result 40% of new teachers leave within 5 years. Teaching Unions should renegotiate the Teacher Contract around a maximum of 45 hours. They and the DfE should then work out what can be achieved in 45 hours.
More details
