Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
We can’t accept petitions calling for an inquiry into whether an MP has misled the House of Commons. That’s because neither the House of Commons nor the Government is responsible for deciding that an inquiry that an inquiry of that kind should happen.
The Government and Parliament are also not responsible for deciding whether someone should be prosecuted for a crime.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
