This is a call for a full and comprehensive parliamentary inquiry into the

- causes of the riots
- the police reaction to the riots
- politicians reaction to the riots
- the necessary powers and changes to the law required in the wake of the riots
- ways in which we can prevent any future riots

With the amount of damage and seemingly slow official reaction and dealing with the riots the public deserves a full and comprehensive explanation to why they happened, why the official reaction seemed woefully slow and unable to deal with the criminality on the streets and how we can stop these happening again in the future.
