Closed Elevate the rights and status of dogs, to those of a sentient being

If dogs were afforded the rights of sentient beings, people would surely take the responsibility and obligations that come with having a dog in their home far more seriously than many do at present. I then propose, that we elevate the status of dogs to that of sentient beings.
