16 and 17 year olds are deemed responsible for many things, such as Leave home, leave school, work full time after leaving school, drive a moped, and be involved in sexual activity. Why do they need parents consent to get married? Sign this petition if you also feel this should change.

16 - 17 year olds should not have to apply to the courts for permission to get married, should their parents say no, if they can do the above without permission.
