Rejected petition Introduce a Proportional Voting system for the UK Government

I'm a 16 year old student of politics, and may be naive in what I am saying, but why a proportional voting system is not being used I don't know. We need to have a less Laisse Faire way of doing things and introduce this system ASAP. Preferably STV, as it is favoured by the Electoral Commitee.

Some people say "Well, life isn't fair, so who cares if the voting system isn't". This is not the correct attitude.
