Currently the CPS and courts do not recognise that police officers can be, 'harassed alarmed or distressed,' under Section 5 of the Public Order Act.
Police officers are human and have feelings like any other person.
This view also engenders a lack of respect for authority. The consequences of which are all to evident.
I am advocating a specific offence of abusing or insult a police officer.
