It simply is not acceptable that you pay many tens of pounds for a game, or many hundreds of pounds for a piece of professional software, the product simply does not work, and the onus is placed on the buyer to attempt to find out why. Invariably it leads to hardware and software vendors arguing who is to blame, and all the time the buyer loses out. This is not acceptable. All software must be sold with an operational guarantee and if the software fails to operate, then a full refund should be mandatory.
