In the wake of the UK Riots CCTV has shown its value. It is going to be needed more to keep the public safe if the planned police cuts are proceeded with.

The arrests and convictions in the UK riots have mainly been down to CCTV. If the cameras are put in the correct place in a city centre no law abiding person should be afraid of them
