Closed Muslim marriage (Nikah) in the UK should be recognised, polygamy is common.

Most muslims husbands (in the uk) believe it is okay to be married numerous of times. It is becoming very common in the Uk. In the Uk multiple Marriage is illegal. If muslim marriage is recognised, the people who committed polygamy can be prosecuted. This will also stop polygamy in the future.

Personal Exp (Halima Rashid)- I am a muslim, and polygamy in my family is very common. The men believe it is okay to commit polygamy in the Uk as muslim marriage (nikah) is not recognised. Woman in my family and friends in the muslim society are distress as their husbands are married many times. Most men in muslim society believe men are dominating and they have the right and power to get married multiple of times. They believe woman are toys. These men should be prosecuted for committing polygamy.
