A scheme to place US border guards with guns to patrol British Airport. Not only that they would be given diplomatic immunity so they could not be prosecuted for ANY crime committed on British soil.

I'm all for friendship and cooperation between countries but this sounds pointless. If they're so worried about the people who get on the plane at the point of departure it seems it would be much easier to controlled and collect them all at the point of arrival. everyone has to get off the plane through one singular small door that could be easily and more efficiently patrolled once on arrival here. Oh that's right don't they do that already . This makes no sense to me.
They would be given diplomatic immunity so they could not be prosecuted for any crime committed on British soil.
