Rejected petition Charities expenses and salaries should be controlled.
Charities are out of control. They have evolved into heartless big businesses, which often prey on the vulnerable. Their percentage for expenses should be sharply restricted. Salaries should be controlled.
More details
The Chief executive of the British Heart Foundation is on a salary of £170,000 pa. This is typical of major charities. It is a career path, not a vocation as it should be. The top salaries should be no more than £50,000 p.a. Recruitment would attract highly qualified, successful, possibly young retired business people, as well as other suitably qualified candidates motivated by vocation not greed.
