Closed Improve drainage on the A590 at Green Lane, Lindal in Furness.

The A590 is a vital trunk road linking Barrow in Furness, along with many other towns and villages, to the M6. Likewise, this road connects many rural towns and villages to Furness General Hospital and other critical services. With ever increasing frequency this key route is blocked by flooding.

This frustration has been noted on countless occasions in the local press:
