A promised review after the Somerset Levels flooding of Feb 2014 still hasn't happened. The UK is the 2nd highest provider of foreign aid after the US!
In 2008 the Pitt review strongly recommended increased investment in flood defences. There has been a year on year cut of 27% since then!
