Rejected petition Limit VAT in the UK and the EU to a Maximum of 10%, except in times of disaster

The highest sales tax in the US in California is 7.5%, in some states such as Delaware it is 0%. Having the EU set a Minimum sales tax of 15% hinders economic growth and could be a criminal hinderance of economic freedom for individual citizens in the UK and Europe.

The UK Parliament can change the rate of VAT in the UK but not for the rest of the EU. The UK Government could work with other EU Member States to change rates of VAT in the EU.
