Petition Start a nationally recognised database of AED's (Defibfillators)
We call for an official nationally recognised database of AED's (Automated External Defibrillators)
Apps and websites are not up to date. Their best efforts could cost lives. Every second counts when a patient is in cardiac arrest. Life diminishes by 10% for every minute an AED is not used.
More details
Following Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SDA) for every minute an AED is not used life diminishes by 10%. After 10 minutes there is only a 5% chance of survival.
There is not a national database for AED's (Automated External Defibrillators)
There is no requirement for AED's to be registered anywhere.
Many Apps and websites are not up to date or mix Public Access Defibrillators (PAD) with those locked away during closure of premises ie schools, factories, gyms.
This could be a mean life or death
