Petition Let's have Catholic or Jewish PMs
More details
As yet, people who belong to the Roman Catholic or Jewish faiths are constitutionally prevented from becoming a Prime Minister in accordance with the Roman Catholic Relief Act 1829 and the Jews' Relief Act 1858. The government should seperate the role of Prime Minister from the Church of England, appointing a minister to take on the privalage of consulting Her Majesty on ecclisiastical matters. Not to do so would be unfair; contrary to the fair and equal nature which our society, as a whole, nurtures.
