Rejected petition Put a statue of David Bowie on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square

London should honour its favourite son, loved around the world and by several generations. David Bowie means more to most Londoners than the crusty generals often honoured with statues. Only one duke deserves to stand on a plinth in London - the Thin White Duke.

More details

Born in Brixton in 1947, David Bowie is one of the greatest artistic figures to have ever emerged from the capital. His statue on the fourth plinth would be in front of the National Gallery reflecting his lifelong engagement with the arts as the "Picasso of Pop"
