Rejected petition Make St George's day (23rd April) a Public Holiday.

It used to be celebrated on the same level as Christmas Day back in the 15th century. A number of other countries celebrate their "national" day and i believe that England should as well. In recent years the popularity of St. George's Day appears to be increasing gradually.
