Rejected petition Hands off our pensions Chancellor!
How come the public sector pensions are sacrosanct but it is a free for
all on the private pensions??The public sector pension is index linked and practically guaranteed, but the private sector is fixed so gets eroded by inflation!!

When will they publicise that £100000 pension pot will give you a pension of approx. £5000 p.a. what will that be worth in 10 - 20 years time after inflation!!!
How come every employee has had to join a pension scheme under Auto Enrolment, encouraged to do so by getting tax relief!! Now that could be seriously under threat. There are more & more employees caught in the 40p tax as the band has not been increased, and now they are the ones who will be punished the most!!
