The cap for spending in official referendum campaigns is the same for both sides.
If one side has a Lead Campaigner it is possible to have additional funding.
This is unfair & legislation should be changed so that additional funding is only available if both sides have a Lead Campaigner

At some point in this Parliament the EU Referendum will be held.
Under the Political Parties Elections and Referendums Act, the cap for funding in the official campaign is the same for both sides.
However, as the law currently stands, it is possible for a side with a Lead Campaigner to have additional funding.
This is allowed even if the opposing side does not have a Lead Campaigner
PPERA should be changed so that additional funding is only available if both sides have a Lead Campaigner.
