We have to pay VAT on many types of goods and services which are essential for our everyday existence, yet the VAT rate for Newspapers and celebrity type magazines is set at 0%. It is time this changed and VAT be set at the standard rate for Newspapers non educational magazines as these items can hardly be classed as necessities.
