Coal fired power stations and steel industry are facing an uncertain future due to environmental policy changes implemented by UK and EU government.
Need a taskforce under UK govt. to monitor these industrial sector and declare a financial and technical support package to protect and reform them.

Ferrybridge and Eggbrough power stations announced plant closure recently. TATA Steel closed its Scunthorpe plant partially and made more than one thousand workers redundant across UK. Many coal mines closed and workers lost jobs. UK government should support these industries financially and technically to reform to suit present climate change regulations. Also need a plan to protect the workforce through retraining and rehabilitate them in future redundancies or closures arise.
