The existing terms and annual index linking of public service pension arrangements for existing contributors and pensions should remain unaltered for pension scheme members when they agree to contribute to respective schemes, expecting the long term benefits to be honoured. The changes recommended in the independent Public Service Pensions Commission are fundamentally flawed by not providing a realistic pension provision for public sector employees thus should not be implemented.
