Rejected petition We would like to Petition Newark & Sherwood District Council Planning Committee

There are serious concerts regarding the demolition of The Sawmill Pub which is located on Beacon Hill Road, Newark Upon Trent Nottinghamshire. It's the only pub in the area in walking distance for local residents, the pub also have an advantage to accommodate the many tourists that arrive by coach.

The new manager has received the environmental health Five Star Rating recently. Food sales have tripled with more people are using the venue for parties, wedding receptions and have enjoyed the live entertainment. The local would like Newark and Sherwood District Council Planning Committee to refuse the demolition of The Sawmill pub. If it changes to yet more retail unit this will bring more traffic congestion and more relating problems for the local area.
