Rejected petition To change the title of Type 1 Diabetes, to stop the generalisation!!

This petition is to change the name of Type 1 Diabetes, so that the ignorant and uneducated realise that it's not the same as the weight and lifestyle related Type 2. Type 1 isnt preventable like Type 2!!!

As the father to a 2 year old girl with Type 1 Diabetes, it irritates me when people assume or think it's because we've stuffed her full of cakes, sweets and all things sugary!!! And you get TV shows like Eastenders making flippant and disgraceful comments within the lines of characters.
