Closed Make it a legal requirement that all animals knocked over by cars are reported.

Dogs and wild animals under the law must be reported to the police; however animals, such as cats are are knocked over fairly regularly and the person who does it does not do anything about it and just carry on driving.

In the past couple of months 3 cats have been hit by cars and the driver has just carried in driving, almost as if it is an intentional act; not only this two of my cats have been killed by an act like this and I was not notified by the person who did it, a friend of mine told me that my cat wasn't breathing by the side of the road.
If a dogs, swans and deer must be reported by law, so why does this mean that other animals are disregarded?
