Rejected petition Student nurses to be paid whilst on placement

Whilst working 40 hours a week on placement 5 weeks at a time it is difficult for any student to find time to work to gain money.

Pay students a minimum wage whilst on placement!

Student nurses can not work more than 48 hours a week whilst working part time in the NHS as study time at university counts towards their overall WTD hours. It's difficult to find a balance between placement time as sometimes they have to work 40 hours a week for free! And find time to work to have financial support.
