Rejected petition Make digital copies available for free when a physical copy is bought.
When you buy a book, CD, Blu-Ray or DVD you own that physical copy of it. In the ever increasing digital download age our purchases are not something we can touch. This is why I believe with every physical purchase we make we should be entitled to a digital copy in the format of our choice.
More details
Some DVD's or Blu-Ray's used to give a code to add a movie to an iTunes or Microsoft account. Some come with Ultra-Violet but that is only on movies released by Sony. I don't see why we should have to buy a product several times to listen to/read/view it on our favourite formats. Also when you download something what do you actually own? I also do not think it's unreasonable to see downloads transferable across formats if you decide to move from say Apple to Android.
