Petition Scrap the proposed Sugar Tax levy
This newly proposed Sugar Tax levy on the drinks giants is nothing more than, yet another in-direct taxation on the lower paid working class public.

If the government wishes to raise additional funds for the NHS, due to obese people putting additional pressure on the service, then the government should also place additional taxation on all the fitness fanatics, of whom cost the NHS millions each year in joint replacements, muscle and ligament rebuilds.
Other countries have tried to implement the same levy and have proved that it had little to no effect on the rates of obesity.
Let’s get this crazy tax levy scrapped before it’s started.
