Rejected petition Give parents a say in the 'academies for all' agenda.
As a parent of two primary-aged pupils, and a school teacher, I'm alarmed at the lack of consultation with parents and teachers regarding the 'academies for all' policy of this government. I propose that parents of school children should be consulted or given a vote on this issue.
More details
This government is pressing ahead with an agenda that makes no sense. Teachers and parents are opposed to the eventual privatisation of our schools, and constant meddling in our education system. Academies are no more successful than local authority schools. Parents need to have a say in this matter, and not just at the ballot box, when it will be too late.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
It's not clear how you would like the Government to give parents a say. If you would like the Government to formally consult all parents of school age children, you could start a new petition calling for that.
We already have a petition calling for a referendum:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
