Rejected petition To make Brighton and Hove buses to review there price of bus fare
Brighton and hove Buses have announced an increase in bus fare, for the people of Seaford/Newhaven/Peacehaven this is a £2 increase on a ticket to Brighton.
Brighton buses reasoning is they want people to turn digital, they have also changed the zone we fall under hence the huge increase.
More details
Having worked in adult services in Newhaven and Seaford i know a number people don't have have access to a smartphone to be able to purchase a M ticket or internet, I personally don't think a £2 increase on any-fare is acceptable make people aware of your intentions to do this and increase it gradually if you need to but £2 immidaite increase is quite frankly wrong
