Rejected petition David Cameron should publish his tax returns, as he promised to do 4 years ago.
The Panama Papers have made clear this is no longer "a private matter" but a matter of public interest. If he truly has nothing to hide and would like to persuade the electorate as such, he should make a full declaration of all his tax affairs, current and historical, as soon as humanly possible.
More details
Cameron is "very relaxed about publishing these things", which of course, in a classic example of doublespeak, does not amount to him saying that he will do so. This kind of spin and aversion to clarity only serves to fuel uncertainty and speculation around the prime minister's tax affairs.
