Petition Isle of Axeholme railway

We the undersigned request the Government to commision a Feasibility Report into reinstating the rail line from Gainsborough across the Isle of Axeholme to Goole.
The line was agreeably scenic, and useful for freight between two towns which have been Britain's most inland ports.
Such an initiative would provide environmentally attractive transport to several towns and villages, construction jobs for the unemployed, and enhanced visitor and tourism activity.
