Rejected petition Lower the age of the cervical screening (smear test) to 18

I received the letter for my smear test 6 months before my 25th birthday, I got an appointment 3 months before & it still went ahead. I've now been diagnosed with CIN3 (precancerous cells) which will be removed. This could've been changing for years & could've been picked up sooner if the age was 18

More details

The story above does not always end the same as it has for me and I know of a few young girls who have suffered with cervical cancer. If the age was lowered to 18 this would help catch this dreadful illness sooner and help many more women avoid or even survive this type of cancer. Please sign and help protect women from finding out before it's too late! Thank you.
