Rejected petition Stop the closure of the BBC Recipe website

The government has announced the closure of the BBC recipe website. I like many many others in the country find this a fantastic resource and use it on a regular basis and think it offers the tax payer value for money and should stay live due to it's distinctive content from the UKs favourite chefs.

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

This decision is the responsibility of the BBC. The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
