Petition Mandatory course/examination on food & drink for allergies & intolerances

My wife recently found out she was a Coeliac and I am allergic to nuts, as a chef I can’t believe the amount of chefs and catering staff that have no idea what these intolerance, allergies and illnesses are and how they can affect people.

I believe that many of the trained and un-trained catering employees don’t have training on intolerances, allergies and food based illnesses, with more and more people suffering from nut allergies, Coeliac disease, lactose intolerance, as well as the other food based allergies such as egg, soya, seafood, this issue must be dealt with before anyone else dies or becomes extremely ill.
