Rejected petition Increase the fine for the destruction/damage to a tree protected by a TPO

Developers (Theakston Land) were unable to build houses on an area with 4 protected trees. They simply destroyed the trees and paid a pathetic fine of £3000 a tree. This is nothing compared to the millions that they will make from the developement.

This is in relation to the proposed development at Flatts Lane woodland Country park in Middlesbrough.

You could start a new petition asking Parliament change the law, to set a specific minimum fine for breaches of TPOs.
