Rejected petition Uncover Britain's Biggest Roman Amphitheatre in Chester. #DigUpDeva
Cheshire West and Chester Council intend to give a developer a 150 year lease, to develop a derelict building called Dee House which sits on top of the South West corner of Britain's Biggest Roman Amphitheatre in Chester, whilst the majority of Cestrian's want the Amphitheatre uncovered.
More details
In just a few weeks time, Cheshire West & Chester Council will hand a 150 year lease to a developer & will in effect prevent anyone alive today from ever being able to see what could be Chester's No.1 Tourist Attraction.
Instead the derelict building on top of the historic find could be turned into flats or offices for the next 150 years.
Yes it may take a while to de-list Dee House and unearth this treasure, but as its creators would have told you: "Rome wasn't built in a day, please sign!"
