Rejected petition Reduce 16-17 year old oyster and national rail card fares to those of a child.

Every month I pay £56 for my oyster fares, whereas with a child oyster I would have paid £34 a month. It is unfair that we (16-17 year olds) are charged more for our tube travel when nothing has changed in terms of education for most of us. We are not adults, we are children, so give us child fares

More details

We are not technically adults until we are 18, so why shouldn't we have the same fare as a child?

We would like the General London Assembly's board for transport to seriously consider lowering the fares for sixteen to seventeen year olds to those of eleven to fifteen year olds' as most are in a similar financial position
