If this country could come up with a new technology that could produce a new form of energy or a more efficient energy, e.g. the hydrogen/water powered car. it would make the country extremely wealthy as all other countries would have to invest in it.

Stop spending billions on defence that wastes tax payers money, especially nuclear weapons, and invest the money in something that will really benefit this country.
