The current situation within rail transport in this country is a farce - too much government {i.e. taxpayers} money is being spent subsidizing shareholder's profit margins. services are fragmented, investment minimal and buck passing rife. Please re-nationalize the railway network and enable the subsidies to be used to actually improve the system.
