Whoever is the next Prime Minister is facing having to oversee the break up of the United Kingdom, relegation of the remaining English-Welsh economy, a recession of a scale as yet unpredictable, and may be the last Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom exists through convention, an office held by the politician most likely to hold the confidence of the House of Commons. Nicola Sturgeon is the person best placed to lead us in the role of PM.
