Rejected petition Give 16-17 year olds the right to vote.
I believe that it is unfair that adults and elders are allowed to vote for the future of the next generations. I believe that from the second you get your national insurance number, you should be able to vote. This way we can have a fair voting system that includes a wider range of the UK.
More details
In the recent EU Referendum, out of the people who voted to remain, the majority were 18-24 years old. If under 18's could vote, we'd still be in the EU. This is the most important fact, as it is the younger generations future that is being voted for, despite it changing everyone in the UK's life.
