In order to save lives, the price of certain essential drugs (like antibiotics, antivirals) & equipment (like syringes, sterile dressings, IV giving sets) should be made affordable to specified third world countries by encouraging pharmaceutical companies to charge them at cost price only. In any case, the pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies concerned will not otherwise be making the sales to the third countries concerned anyway.
