Petition Enact legislation to match EU funding for areas defined as Economically Deprived

Legislate guaranteeing to match (and increase in line with the Retail Price Index) current EU funding for areas defined using the EU model as Economically Deprived, post exit from the EU in 2018. This to be in addition to current levels of government investment in such areas and not replacing it.

This is to ensure financial promises made during the Leave campaign are not forgotten and to maintain investment and growth for the populations of such Economically Deprived areas.
E.g. The total European Regional Development Fund for the 2014-2020 funding period is €3.6bn.
